What inspired you to move from France to Singapore and pursue a career in business development?

A mix of adventure, croissants withdrawal, and a love for connecting dots between people and opportunities. I wanted to experience life outside the hexagon, and Singapore seemed like the perfect place—fast-paced, multicultural, and full of business potential. Plus, I figured if I could survive the humidity and chili, I could handle anything in business development!

What challenges have you faced adapting to a new culture and business environment, and how have you overcome them?

First challenge: realizing that “lah” is not a typo and “aircon” is a word.

On the business side, adapting to Singapore’s fast-paced and highly efficient business environment was definitely a shift from what I was used to in France. The communication style here is more direct, which took some getting used to, but I’ve come to really appreciate the clarity and speed it brings. Culturally, Singapore is incredibly diverse, and that means constantly working with people from different backgrounds, each with their own ways of thinking and working. I’ve learned to stay open, ask questions, and embrace flexibility. Over time, these challenges became opportunities to grow both professionally and personally—and now I feel much more confident navigating multicultural settings.

How do you collaborate with the technical/support team internally to shape the right solutions for your clients?

Collaboration with our technical and support teams is central to delivering the right solutions. Since our core expertise lies in platform, data, and software engineering, we work closely from the early stages to ensure we fully understand our client’s needs and constraints. I act as a bridge—translating business goals into technical requirements, and vice versa.

We co-design tailored solutions through regular syncs, collaborative workshops, and continuous feedback loops. Whether it’s architecting scalable platforms, optimizing data flows, or tailoring software components, the goal is always to align technical feasibility with business impact. This close partnership helps us stay agile, reduce friction, and deliver solutions that are not only technically sound but also genuinely valuable to our clients.

What’s a guilty pleasure you’re not ashamed of?

Definitely putting way more sesame oil than necessary in my hotpot mala. Some say it’s excessive, but I say it’s the perfect amount of flavor, comfort, and indulgence. It’s my go-to move every time—rich, aromatic, and unapologetically satisfying. If loving sesame oil is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
